Immunization service availability and readiness in the hard to reach zones of Ethiopia: Quantitative Study, APHA 2018
The majorities of health centers provided immunization service and
had national EPI guidelines but less than 50% provided immunization service daily. In relation to number and quality of health workers, 70.2% reported insufficient number or poor quality or both. Therefore, avail sufficient number of trained health worker, increase number of vaccination dates and means of transportation are important for future better achievements of immunization services.

Caretakers trusted the words of the religious leaders and committed to change in to action. Engaging religious leaders on immunization is crucial to reach marginalized and unreached communities. Caretakers knowledge and practice on immunization has shown improvement due to the involvement of religious leader. Partners and government should continue engaging the religious and other influential leaders to improve immunization program and ensure sustainability through community ownership.

Community engagement using CVs, who are member of the community is an effective way of supporting the families and communities. The
government health system and CGPP need to encourage CVs to feel that they are part of the health system through supportive supervision and appropriate training, provision of promotional materials and job aids help to improve quality of performance. Non-monetary incentives can motivate CVs and provide a sense of pride in their work and increased status in their communities.
