DR CONGO
Leveraging 25 years of experience, the CORE Group Partners Project is focusing on vulnerable communities in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo with a mission to improve vaccination uptake including those for polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases. CGPP is mobilizing a dedicated volunteer network and strengthening collaborations with government health systems and civil society organizations. In mid 2024, CGPP DRC held several strategic meetings, bringing together partners such as WHO, UNICEF, and the Provincial Health Division of South Kivu. These meetings laid the groundwork for joint strategies to combat polio and vaccine-preventable diseases in the Uvira and Nundu health zones.
